Mobile Load Tax Calculator: Jazz, Ufone, Zong, Telenor

Rs 100 of mobile load leaves Rs 72.77 of usable balance, because Pakistan takes 15% advance income tax at the top-up and 19.5% sales tax on what you spend. The same maths applies on Jazz, Ufone, Zong and Telenor, so one mobile load tax calculator covers all four. Figures are estimates until your operator confirms them.

Many calculators subtract 15% of the load, which credits Rs 85 and understates the Rs 86.96 that lands on the SIM. The Jazz load tax calculator below divides instead, and it also works backwards from a target balance. A Rs 1,000 balance, for example, needs a Rs 1,374.25 load.

Current Mobile Load Tax Rate in Pakistan

Two taxes apply to prepaid load. Advance income tax under section 236 is 15% and comes out at the top-up, so Rs 100 shows Rs 86.96. General sales tax of 19.5% comes out as you spend, on each call, SMS and data session.

The 15% does not depend on operator or filer status. A 75% rate applies only to persons named in an FBR general order under section 114B, meaning people liable to file but absent from the Active Taxpayer List. Late July 2026 reports still show 15% and 19.5%.

How the Jazz Load Tax Calculator Works

The calculator divides the load by 1.15 for the credited balance, then divides that by 1.195 for usable value. The first gap is the advance tax and the second is the GST. Pick a mode, enter a load or a target balance, and read the three results.

Together the steps remove 27.23% of every load, so you keep 72.77%. To find the load for a target balance, multiply the target by 1.37425, which is 1.15 times 1.195. Operators may round differently.

Every row loses 27.23%, so a bigger load never saves tax. Ten Rs 100 loads give the same Rs 727.67 as one Rs 1,000 load. Only a law change lowers the rate.

Bar diagram of a Rs 100 mobile load in Pakistan: Rs 86.96 credited after Rs 13.04 advance tax, then Rs 72.77 usable after Rs 14.19 GST, with the formulas usable = load / 1.15 / 1.195 and load = usable x 1.37425

Jazz Load Tax Calculator Examples With Interpretation

Three cases cover a standard top-up, a reverse calculation and a named subscriber. All apply the two divisors above. Amounts round to the paisa.

Rs 100 Load in the Jazz Load Tax Calculator

You load Rs 100 on Jazz. The advance tax is Rs 13.04, so Rs 86.96 lands on the SIM, and Rs 14.19 of GST leaves Rs 72.77 usable. Plan on about Rs 73 of service per Rs 100 loaded.

Working backwards from Rs 1,000 of service

To keep Rs 1,000 of usable value, multiply by 1.37425 and load Rs 1,374.25. That credits Rs 1,195.00 after Rs 179.25 of advance tax, and Rs 195.00 of GST leaves exactly Rs 1,000. Round up to a load you can buy.

FBR General Order in the Jazz Load Tax Calculator

A named subscriber pays 75% instead of 15%. By the same method, Rs 1,000 credits Rs 571.43 and leaves about Rs 478.18 usable, though the 75% base is unconfirmed. Filing a return does not lift it until FBR removes the name.

This helper reproduces the table and the reverse calculation. Rates sit in one object, because a budget can change them. It rounds only at the end.

The listed flag switches the advance tax to 75%. Output is an estimate. Your operator’s SMS is final.

// Rates as reported for 2026-27: 15% advance tax at load (75% only if the
// subscriber is named in an FBR general order), 19.5% GST on usage.
const RATES = { advance: 0.15, advanceListed: 0.75, gst: 0.195 };
const rs = (n) => Math.round(n * 100) / 100;

function loadTax(load, { listed = false } = {}) {
  const adv = listed ? RATES.advanceListed : RATES.advance;
  const credited = load / (1 + adv); // balance that lands on the SIM
  const usable = credited / (1 + RATES.gst); // value left after GST on usage
  return {
    credited: rs(credited), advanceTax: rs(load - credited),
    gst: rs(credited - usable), usable: rs(usable),
  };
}

// Reverse: how much to load so that `usable` rupees of service are left.
const loadFor = (usable, { listed = false } = {}) =>
  rs(usable * (1 + (listed ? RATES.advanceListed : RATES.advance)) * (1 + RATES.gst));

// loadTax(100) -> { credited: 86.96, advanceTax: 13.04, gst: 14.19, usable: 72.77 }
// loadFor(1000) -> 1374.25

Security: Load Tax and Balance Scams

No SMS link or WhatsApp number can refund mobile load tax. Never share your OTP, PIN or CNIC with anyone offering a refund. Advance tax is claimed only through your own return.

A consumer cannot recover the GST. Check balances in your operator’s app or shortcode. Avoid any calculator app that asks for SIM or SMS permissions.

Common Jazz Load Tax Calculator Errors

Most missing-balance complaints trace back to the two tax steps, not to an operator fault. The table lists the usual symptoms. Check it before calling the operator.

Tax by Operator: Jazz, Ufone, Zong and Telenor

The tax is set by law, not the operator, so every network takes the same 15% and 19.5%. The Jazz load tax calculator figures therefore apply to Ufone, Zong and Telenor. A separate Ufone tax calculator or Jazz tax calculator gives the same answer.

Mobile Load Tax Calculator FAQs

The five answers cover deductions, operators, filer status, refunds and the budget. They use the 15% advance tax and 19.5% GST above. Recheck after any Finance Act.

A Rs 100 load loses Rs 27.23 to tax. That is Rs 13.04 of advance tax at the top-up and Rs 14.19 of GST on usage. It leaves Rs 72.77 usable, from Rs 86.96 credited.

Yes, because the 15% advance tax and 19.5% GST come from law. Only tariffs and bundle prices differ by network. Use one calculator for all four.

No. The 15% applies to filers and ordinary non-filers alike, and the 75% rate applies only to persons named in an FBR general order. A person on the Active Taxpayer List pays 15%.

The advance tax is adjustable against your income tax when you file a return. The GST is not recoverable by a consumer. Keep the load SMS.

No. A report dated 24 July 2026 still shows 15% and 19.5%. The IT ministry proposed cuts and the operators’ association asked for them.

Conclusion

A mobile load tax calculator should divide, not subtract: Rs 100 credits Rs 86.96 and leaves Rs 72.77 once the GST is paid. Every operator follows the same law, so a Jazz load tax calculator result holds for Ufone, Zong and Telenor. Reverse the formula for a fixed balance.
